General Information

The aim of the program; Child development which supports all development areas (mental, language, psycho-motor, social-emotional, self-care) of children who are in normal development or who require special education in the age of 0-6 The aim of the course is to educate ip child developmentists don who are capable of raising awareness and raising awareness about families and society.

Our goal as Child Development Program is to reach the educational standards that can compete at national and international level by using advanced training techniques, to be respected in the national and international area, to be able to adapt to changing conditions, to be productive with problem solving skills, to communicate effectively with the environment, to be able to work teamwork, To be a leading and pioneering educational institution in the training of health technicians who have professional qualifications in line with their social needs and who know their responsibilities towards their country.

Admission and Enrollment Requirements

 For Turkish Citizens:

(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.

For International Students

(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.

 

Qualification Awarded

 Students who have successfully completed all the courses in the 2-year education plan and who have at least 120 ECTS are awarded with associate degree in Child Development.

 

Opportunities

Within the scope of the Child Development Program, the lessons are given to the students both theoretically and practically in the classrooms of our school and in kindergartens in various regions of Alanya in accordance with the protocol signed with the Ministry of National Education.

In addition, we have two application laboratories, Child Development Laboratory and Material Development Atelier, affiliated to the Health Services Vocational School Child Care and Youth Services Department.

 

Career Opportunties

Our graduates are pre-school educators in kindergartens and day care centers of MEB, group educators in special education and rehabilitation centers, child developmentist in SHÇEK, child development in clinics affiliated to Ministry of Health, designer in children's publications and toys sector, large touristic facilities such as resorts, sports complexes. can serve as preschool educator in children's clubs; In private schools, they can take courses as expert instructors and take charge as a paid trainer in public schools.

 

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education - Instruction and Examination Regulations of Alanya Aladdin Keykubat University, which outline the principles regarding examination and evaluation, are taken into consideration.

 

Graduation Requirements

Students are required to provide courses in return for 120 ECTS credits, succeed in them and have a general academic average of 2.00 out of 4.00 to be able to graduate from the program.
